H Table

H Table

"It's very much a take-away must in our house."

Fu Hao

Fu Hao

"Fu Hao, this Cantonese family restaurant, has existed for 25+ years and is run by Ying and Simon. It is just at my doorstep and I've been going there for almost 20 years with my family. Most of our kids’ birthdays have been celebrated there. I enjoy having their ribs, fried rice with pork, Sio Bao, an array of their dim sum, chicken feet, and a Tsing Tao to wash it down."

Slurp

Slurp

"The head chef, Andrea Piras, is my best friend and he is one of the most dedicated and talented chefs I know. All the food at Slurp is beyond delicious, and the vibe is easy and fun. The Shio ramen and the Mazesoba are my favorites. The Mazesoba for me is a better version of an Italian “Tagliatelle al ragù” (Sorry Nonna)."

Jah Izakaya

Jah Izakaya

"I really like the vibe at Jah Izakaya. They are always fully booked and normally we just make a walk-in, if possible. We always have their chicken karage, agedashi tofu, grilled squid, and sashimi — an ice-cold beer and a whisky highball. It takes away some of the homesickness for Japan."

Bento

Bento

"On the opposite side of my home, we have the Uki family. There I usually like to have a boat full of sashimi while having a conversation with Daisuke who has just prepared my food. Afterward, I always wash that down with a shot of cognac in their kitchen with Momma Uki, who is a 75-year-old beautiful Japanese woman."

Tigermom

Tigermom

"Beautiful dishes and intense flavours. Go for the spicy selections."

Brasserie Sài Gòn

Brasserie Sài Gòn

"I'm excited for the breakfast menu here! I have been waiting for pho noodles soup to be available for breakfast in this city!"

Baan Thai Isarn

Baan Thai Isarn

"Thai food made as it should be! Small family-owned restaurant, terrible acoustics with not the most interesting decor, but that doesn’t matter when you try their food! I will go for the fried pork, broccoli, and basil. Always order Thai food, Thai spicy!"

Royal Garden

Royal Garden

"Classic Chinese flavors and dim sum near the city center — won't ever let you down. I always order the chicken feet with fermented bean sauce — twice."

Wafu Ramen

Wafu Ramen

"Frederiksberg for the best Gyoza in town and possibly the best ramen in a very surprising place. Great Japanese beers for a good price in the fridge, too."

Ranee's

Ranee's

"Welcoming and cozy atmosphere, loads of spicy food — which I’m addicted to. I'd eat Som Tam Esan style all the time."

La Tre Street Kitchen

La Tre Street Kitchen

"Great people cooking tasty food. What more do you need? Always my go-to choice for take-away or late summer evenings. Eat the ribs."

Kōnā

Kōnā

"Kōnā is the new kid on the block that makes me feel like back home in New York. Just sitting on the steps makes me feel like I’m on a stairs cocktail party. Come to Kōnā for Japanese inspired food with a Nordic touch."

DD Thai

DD Thai

"Everyone who knows me well knows that this is my go-to Thai place. It’s a hole in the wall in Vesterbro, very close to where I used to live, run by the sweetest family. I had serious second thoughts about moving to NV, as that meant I couldn’t have my weekly dose of DD Thai. Order the #8 with chicken, extra spicy, and say hello from me."

Eat in Time

Eat in Time

"The dining room is artsy. You will feel very comfortable dining in there because the chef, Celine, is also a talented artist. If you like Chinese food, you should really try Eat in Time! Remember to order the Grandma's Asian pork stir fry!"

Ramen to Bíiru Vesterbro

Ramen to Bíiru Vesterbro

"Love their spicy miso ramen. Is often over on the way home or on a day off. And then they have great beer"

nihao YAO

nihao YAO

"This small family restaurant really knows their Taiwanese food. I love their shredded beef guabao. And their vegetarian potstickers is something I always come back to."

Falang

Falang

"A modern Thai bistro and already a Vesterbro classic. The place is crazy, it has fake gold tigers on the wall and 15-meter paper dragons hanging from the ceiling. All the things that didn't sell on Alibaba, Falang will take them. It's amazing and very funny. But underneath is a serious Thai cuisine with bold flavors and great ingredients, great cocktails and natural wines. I love the combination. At 23.00 the light changes and it turns into a small nightclub"

Ban Gaw

Ban Gaw

"Amazing and authentic quality thai food just as it should be."
