Really good Italian places in Copenhagen. Recommended by local chefs, sommeliers and industry people

MANGIA

MANGIA

"If I’m up for the Italian kitchen, I always visit Mangia. The food is sublime, surpassed only by their wines and service. The tortelli pasta with ricotta, spinach, and butter and a glass of orange wine is a match made in heaven."

Il Buco

Il Buco

"The favorite hangout for me and my family. I love the fact that they're open all day, so we can pop by for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The ambience is super cool and cozy, and the service is easy and down to earth. Being a dad to a small boy and having your own business doesn't allow for much going out, so we often end here on a Sunday morning for a slow breakfast."

Hos Fischer

Hos Fischer

"I’ll go there for the Cacio e Pepe. It’s a fantastic dish where the ingredients really shine through. Good pasta. Two great kinds of cheese. Pepper. That’s it. It’s an oasis in Østerbro and a place where I can take the family, have some good pasta, good red wine and just relax."

Barabba

Barabba

"Im obsessed with this place. I dream of some of the dishes! Italian done right. Big flavour with no bullshit. Great range of Italian wines and aperitifs. Just go and try for yourself!"

Corsa Pizza

Corsa Pizza

"I am almost always in the mood for pizza and Corsa delivers on that front. I eat their Margherita for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. On top of that, they show the most pro-cycling races! When the Giro d'Italia starts, I will definitely watch some of the stages there with plenty of beautiful crust within range. Tip: Check out their wine shelves. Really good wine for amazing prices."

Rufino Osteria

Rufino Osteria

"Small Italian run Trattoria place in Christianshavn. It is run by 3 Italians: Alessandro, Paulo, and Alberto. They are focusing on Roman-style pasta dishes with a little twist. Great "homey" atmosphere with a relaxed service style. You can just pass by and have a plate of pasta or go for the menu and let yourself be surprised by the boys. You see me there once a week for a plate of pasta and sipping some delicious Italian wines."

Enomania

Enomania

"Some important things to me are service, dedication, and wine skills. Damiano Alberti has them all. For me, the perfect start to the weekend is the long and cozy wine lunch at Enomania. Chiara Righetti and Damiano are the best hosts. Their selection of wines is just amazing. Don't leave without having their Risotto. It's the best in Copenhagen. No doubt."

Fabro

Fabro

"The reason we love Fabro so much is due to the effortless vibe that brings people together and, of course, the best pasta in Copenhagen."

Famo Metro

Famo Metro

"It's an Italian restaurant, and it provides some of the best Italian food I have ever had. It's not pizza. It's everything else. The team is fantastic; enthusiastic, authentic, and passionate about their cooking. Usually, I just order the menu "Toto decides" (Toto is the head chef, and he knows best)."

La Buca

La Buca

"One of my all-time favorite places in Copenhagen. Down-to-earth, amazing, and authentic proper Italian food. In my opinion this is one of the most underrated restaurants in Copenhagen. The restaurant brings me back to Da Gino al Parlamento in Rome or Da Cesarino in Perugia. Their Saltimbocca all Romana is absolutely world-class and the wine list is pure old-fashioned gold. I’m a big fan."

Ca' Cucina

Ca' Cucina

"A few years back I lived on top of the restaurant Famo Metro Østerbro and I would come down to get lunch brought out the backyard window by head chef Diego. It was, and still is the best Italian food I've had, I have followed him ever since, he has his own small place in Hellerup now, mostly take away, but you can eat in by the bar"

Osteria 16

Osteria 16

"When in need of Italy, food, vibes, and wine. We can easily spend a whole evening here."

Il Corvino

Il Corvino

"When in need of pasta, antipasti, and a cool winelist."
