Good spots for shawarma, kebab and falafel in Copenhagen, recommended by local chefs and other industry people

Ali's Bageri

Ali's Bageri

"After Sunday football sessions, we're always 10 starving ppl discussing where to go eat and Ali's Bageri needs no convincing. I'm an absolute sucker for their Fatteh."

Dürüm Symfoni

Dürüm Symfoni

"Where do I start with Durum Symfoni? Good overall local joint serving amazing durum wraps that are made to order when you arrive. I definitely recommend their falafel."

Silas Kebab

Silas Kebab

"You haven't had anything like this before. On your way home from work, after a night out and anytime of the day, you can just swing by and they will serve you the best kebab that you've ever had, brought to you by the nicest staff."

Nordisk Falafel

Nordisk Falafel

"Literally the best, cheapest, healthiest fast food.   Always go for the big Falafel box!"

Halla Halla

Halla Halla

"A small pearl hidden in the heart of Copenhagen. They have really figured out to make the world's most crazy pita sandwiches! They are creative with their selection of vegetables and fillings."

Killer Kebab

Killer Kebab

"Makes my favourite Kebabs and Falafels right now. They build their own marinated lamb shawarma meat cone and make their own sour dough flat bread. It makes for a fantastic Kebab with well spiced and succulent meat! Their Falafels are crunchy and delicious. - I'm fully addicted to both."

Streetfood 108

Streetfood 108

"Because of my Turkish roots, I love to stop by Streetfood 108 for a quick lunch. Turkish cuisine holds a special place in my heart. I always go for a gozleme with spinach and an ayran on the side when I'm there."

Istanbul Kebab Bar

Istanbul Kebab Bar

"For those who know me, they know my love for kebab and shawarma. And I've been trying out about 93% of Nørrebro's selection, and I've just come to realize that this place is one of the better ones in my opinion (even the local police appear to think so). They recently renovated the place, so now they make freshly made durum bread to order (like Durumbar, Dürüm Symfoni and Sheik Shawarma). The shawarma's good, the condiments are nice and the chili is actually spicy."

Kösk Kebab

Kösk Kebab

"A hidden gem in my beloved neighborhood Nordvest. It's usually packed especially after the local mosque’s prayer time. They serve great Turkish food over a coal fire and it’s really a great place for the value! I always get a 31a and so should you."

Dünyam Shawarma House

Dünyam Shawarma House

"I always go for a falafel durum at Dünyam Shawarma House on Istedgade. Is it good? I think it's just above mediocre (and therefore there is never a queue there), but that little booth in the back is the sweetest spot to eat out in Copenhagen. And they buy shitloads of our wine. Haha. No, they don't."

Berlin Döner

Berlin Döner

"Honestly, I am not a big fan of fast food, because most is unhealthy and often not fresh. But Oh Em Gee, the döner from Berlin is just amazing and so addictive. Lately, I have been coming here once a week. Tip: pre-order via their website, because there is always a line and rightfully so!"
